A short video of the rogue member of the NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, who was arrested with four other Nigerians holding hostage the two Canadian girls has emerged and is fast going viral on social media.
Seidu Yakubu Tayaba, is spotted wearing red top and very demoralised.
From the conversations with the security officers, the kidnappers had demanded huge ransom from close associates of the the NGO that the Canadian girls were working with in Kumasi.
Seidu Yakubu, has perhaps brought the whole government of the NPP into disrepute with his shameful involvement in this kidnapping saga that has dented the international image of Ghana.
The suspects, who were nabbed in Kenyase, have since been flown to Accra for necessary law processes to take their full course.
Briefing newsmen a while ago, Information Minister Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah disclosed that the two girls are in safe custody and receiving therapy from physicians and psychologists.
Key suspect of the Delta Force has admitted in an interview on Fox FM in Kumasi last week that he is a full-blown member of the NPP. Seidu Yakubu reportedly served as personal bodyguard for Asawase Munucipal Chief Executive.
