Who Cut John Quaicoe Out? Questions as Wontumi Ntakie Missing from BECE Donation Write-Up Despite Presence in Photos

A recent donation of mathematical sets to 2026 BECE candidates in KEEA by MP Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills has raised eyebrows — not for what was said, but for who was left out.

The official write-up named MCE Hon. Ismail Zagoon-Saeed, NHIA Manager Mr. Francis Obeng, and Municipal Director of Education Madam Akua Lissar as the officials who presented the items on behalf of the MP. 

Yet, constituents who have seen photos from the presentation are asking: Where is John Quaicoe, popularly known as Wontumi Ntakie?

Pictures circulating from the event show John Quaicoe present at the donation. He was on the ground. He stood with the team. But when the press release went out, his name was omitted.

That omission has triggered questions at the grassroots. Was it an oversight? Was it deliberate? If the goal is to credit everyone who supported the exercise, why leave out a known face who was visibly part of the delegation?

In constituency politics, presence equals participation. When a party figure attends a program and is captured in photos but excluded from the official narrative, it sends a signal. The base notices. And the base talks.

The constituents deserve to know: Was John Quaicoe’s omission an administrative error? If so, it can be corrected with a revised release that acknowledges all who were present. 

If there is another reason he was not mentioned despite being in the photos, the MP’s office and the MCE should clarify. Transparency ends speculation.

Credit those who were there. Name those in the photos. The base is watching.
